Qualification Overview
The CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification provides learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to work in the early childhood education and care sector. This qualification is the minimum requirement for employment in ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Education and Care services operating under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
This program has been contextualised by Allora College to reflect current industry practices and Queensland compliance requirements. It prepares students to work collaboratively with educators to support the health, safety, wellbeing, learning and development of children from birth to school age across a range of regulated early childhood settings.
On successful completion, graduates will possess the competencies and professional understanding to assist in the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and contribute to providing high-quality education and care in line with national and state regulatory frameworks.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course. However, following conditions must be noted prior to the enrolment.| Education | There are no set education requirement for this training. | Age | Prospective student(s) who are below the age of 18 years during the time of application are required to provide signed consent of their parent/ guardian to enrol in this course. |
| Work Placement | Students are required to complete 160 hours of work placement to earn this qualification. Where possible, college will assist students to find suitable work placement options. |
| Working with Children Check (Blue Card) | Students must undertake Working with Children check and apply for a Blue Card. This is one of the mandatory requirements of this qualification and must be done at course commencement. Failing to obtain a Blue Card will mean you will not be allowed work placement or perform other assessments which will affect your course outcome. You are advised to speak with one of our course coordinators if you have concerns regarding the Blue Card application. There would be an additional fee for Blue card application (excluding volunteers, students, or exemption card applicants). Students undertaking this course must complete a mandatory 160-hour work placement with an authorised education and care service provider in Australia. This provider should offer a suitable variety of tasks and child-to-staff ratios, and students must have access to a qualified supervisor who holds a minimum of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or an equivalent qualification.Delivery Location/Mode

The placement facility may have specific vaccination requirements. These requirements will be communicated to you before your placement arrangements are finalized. It is advised to undergo vaccination screening to meet Queensland Health’s mandatory vaccination standards. Some facilities might require the following vaccinations:- COVID-19
- Hepatitis A and B
- Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) (a second dose is needed for those born in or after 1966 who have had only one dose)
- Chickenpox (if not previously infected)
- Pertussis (whooping cough – adult booster dose)
- Influenza (annual vaccination)

This Course is subsidised under the Queensland VET Investment Plan administered by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training’s (DTET)
To be eligible to enrol in the Career Start General Training Pathway (Queensland Government Funded), prospective participants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- be a Queensland resident
- be aged 15 years or over, and no longer
- at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students)
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
- not already have a certificate III or higher qualification completed within the last 10 years (qualifications completed as a school student and foundation skills qualifications do not count);
- not be enrolled in another qualification, even if it is on hold or deferred, whether funded by DTET or not (foundation skills qualifications do not count).

Co-contribution Fee represents the total non-government subsidised portion of essential training costs for the participant to undertake the qualification. This fee includes total cost to the student to enrol, undertake training and be awarded the qualification.

3. Career Start Apprenticeship/traineeship Pathway (Queensland Government Funded)
The program provides the flexibility for apprentices, trainees and their employers to select a preferred registered training organisation (RTO) from a list of pre-qualified suppliers for the delivery of nationally recognised, accredited training to meet their specific needs. The program works in conjunction with the Commonwealth Australian Apprenticeships System, under which apprentices and trainees (also known in some jurisdictions as “Australian Apprentices”) enter into legally binding training contracts with their employers and receive structured training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.
To be eligible to receive government subsidised training, the apprentice or trainee must:
- be currently employed in a Queensland apprentice or trainee (under a training contract)
- not be enrolled in another qualification
- be undertaking a funded apprenticeship or traineeship qualification
- have selected a government-approved training provider
- not have completed 2 funded apprenticeships or traineeships within the last 10 years. Limits apply to funded program access – check the eligibility for your preferred program—Career Start or Career Boost.

To be eligible, you must:
- be currently employed as a Queensland apprentice or trainee (under a training contract) in a high priority apprenticeship and traineeship qualification
- have commenced (or were already undertaking) your apprenticeship or traineeship between 1 January 2021 and 30 June 2027
- be aged under 25.
