Already an expert in your field?
Why spend time and money learning what you already know?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal skills recognition process that grants you credit for the expertise you’ve built outside the classroom.
Whether you’ve gained your knowledge through work experience, specialised training, or general life experience, an RPL assessment validates your existing competency, turning your “on-the-job” history into a nationally recognised qualification.
You will need to provide comprehensive evidence for the components in the training package for the course you want to apply for and submit to us for assessment.
IF successful, you will may be granted RPL for some or most units of competency in the qualification, without needing to study them.
Simply fill out the application form on the link below and we will send you our Self Assessment Kit to complete as soon as possible.
NOTE: The evidence must be for prior learning and dated prior to any apprenticeship/traineeship you may already be enrolled in or wanting to enrol in. All photo / video evidence must be date stamped.

How RPL Saves You Time and Money
The biggest benefit of the RPL pathway is efficiency. Instead of repeating modules you’ve already mastered, you can fast-track your career by focusing only on the gaps in your knowledge.
- Reduce Study Time: Skip the basics and graduate months (or even years) sooner.
- Lower Tuition Costs: Why pay for a full course when you’ve already done the work?
- Career Advancement: Get the “piece of paper” you need for that promotion without putting your life on hold.
Your RPL Application: It’s All About the Evidence
Every RPL application is assessed on an individual basis. Because no two career paths are the same, your outcome depends entirely on the evidence of competency you provide. To prove you’ve got the skills, you might use:
- Professional Portfolios: Work samples, reports, or projects you’ve completed.
- Employer References: Testimonials that vouch for your technical skills.
- Resumes & Job Descriptions: Proof of your responsibilities and years in the industry.
- Photos or Videos: Visual evidence of you performing specific tasks on-site.
